Field Notes

The rear battery box shifts weight off the forehead, which is what makes this style of headlamp comfortable over a long evening. Widen the beam for camp chores and washing up, then narrow it down when you need to read a trail marker or find a dropped tent peg in the dark.

Slide the telescopic lamp head to move between wide, close-range flood lighting and a narrower focused spot for distance.

Rear battery compartment

The battery box sits at the back of the head and connects to the lamp through a coiled side cable, balancing the load front to back.

Three-strap adjustable fit

Top and side straps adjust independently, holding position during campsite tasks, hiking, fishing and repair work.

Aluminum-alloy lamp head

The metal housing gives the front unit a solid feel and helps carry heat away from the LED during longer runs.
